WIRES (NSW Wildlife Rescue & Education Service) works closely with vets across NSW to help injured native wildlife.
There is now a direct number that vets, clinics and practices can call to communicate with the rescue team. They encourage you to use the Vet VIP WIRES number 02 8977 3309 instead of going through the main switch. There is also an online form at wires.org.au for vets who have an animal in their care needing to be transferred for ongoing care.
