UQ VETS Vet Nurses Conference
Join us for a full weekend of educational sessions designed to provide practical information for veterinary practice staff and animal carers. The 2 days will be packed with lectures and wet labs of many different topics and you will hear from specialists in the field speaking about a range of topics. Many of our speakers have spoken internationally, and we have specialists in equine internal medicine and veterinary anaesthesia.
This is a wonderful opportunity for veterinary nurses to further their education in their chosen fields.
The conference will offer 3 streams: Small Animal, Avian & Exotics and Equine. Attendees will be asked to nominate the stream of choice upon registration, but will be welcome to move around between sessions on the weekend.
Topics to be covered include:
• Small animal anaesthesia & analgesia
• Avian anaesthesia & analgesia
• Equine surgical & medical nursing
• Equine radiology
The keynote speaker will be Dr Phil Jauncey. Phil has been described as “one of Queensland’s most dynamic presenters… has stimulated sports and professional audiences alike. His contagious passion for life has an overwhelming ability to leave guests wanting more as he tackles the more technical mind sets of self development and gets back to basics.
Registration includes all conference lectures, wet labs, coffee on arrival, morning tea and lunch. Online registration is available further below.
There will be a conference dinner on Saturday night, 14 October. The dinner will be held at the Lockyer Hotel in Forest Hill. To get an idea of numbers and to secure the booking, we are also asking you to indicate on your registration if you plan to attend the dinner.
