Basic Echocardiography Workshop
This small group workshop is designed to give you a basic understanding of small animal (dog and cat) echocardiography.
Receiving individual and focused coaching of how to obtain 2D and M-mode echocardiographic views and measurements is the main focus of this workshop.
You will master techniques for achieving quality 2D and M-mode images and results, with plenty of opportunity for hands-on scanning of normal dogs so you can put the information you have learned in the lectures straight in to practice. The day will finish with analysis and discussion of case presentations of important diseases and emergency cases.
Additional topics include ultrasound principles, normal cardiac anatomy and physiology as well as obtaining standard views of the heart using ultrasound machines.
