AVA NSW Division Conference: Practical Toxicology
The NSW Division Conference “Practical Toxicology” will be held in Dubbo in March 2019. The two-day scientific program will be delivered via a small and large animal stream with a combined mental health session, NSW Division Annual Meeting, twilight zoo walk and awards dinner.
Small animal topics will include Hash and other stuff in the stash, NSAIDS and other prescribed perils, You put what on your cat? Feline topical toxins and plenty of other small animal toxicities.
Large animal presentations include making the most of your pathology tests, tips and tools for investigating livestock poisonings, toxic risks for peri-urban livestock, grain overload, lead poisoning and plenty of pasture toxicities!
There is also an opportunity for a pre-conference pasture walk focussing on plant identification and differentiating an emergency animal disease from a toxicosis with Department of Primary industries staff on the preceding Friday if you are interested.
